IRIE MONTE
Director ViolinistIrie has been playing violin for 25 years. She was blessed to have an amazing teacher from a young age when she began studying with Setsuko Nagata of the New York Philharmonic in New York.
Inspired to pursue a career as a music teacher and performer, Irie went on to study music education at New York University.
While at NYU, Irie performed in many ensembles including chamber ensembles and full symphony orchestras. During her time in New York city, Irie performed regularly with the highly acclaimed New York Repertory Orchestra.
In 2015, Irie traveled to Key West and fell in love with the colorful island. Inspired by the amazing community of artists, musicians and seekers of all ages, she established a studio in her home and has been teaching and playing in the community ever since.
Irie has given performances at The Studios of Key West, Tennesse Willliams Theater, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as well as many other venues around town..
